Hi,
Up until PR1.2 (I think) my N900 used to display both the current network name (i.e. the network I'm currently connected to) and the SIM operator name. These are not always identical (e.g. roaming etc).
Currently it only displays the SIM operator name which means that I can't tell if it roams to a different network.
Any way to get it to display that information again?

Afair the N900 always showed the currently connected network. In case the SIM wanted to show a "network branding", this was displayed. But only as long as connected to home network, or roaming in same provider network, e.g. vodafone uk vodafone dk vodafone es ...
But I am since aeons on PR1.3, so I may be wrong here.

Maybe smth like
custom-operator-name-widget
installed and forgot about it?

No, never installed it.
So no way of showing the "unbranded" network name?

I have no idea, sorry.

But for better understanding could you give an example, what your N900 shows and what you think it should show?
