Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

It's much easier to install from Qole's repository. See the "Tear" link in my signature for details. But note that Tear has a nasty bug -- if you hit DPad left in an edit field Tear may hang. Solution: just don't do it.

Other tips:
  • Check out the "mobile URLs" link in my signature.
  • Make sure you have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
  • For Google Spreadsheet, try Opera Mobile. It has a decent simplified interface suitable for light editing.

Thanks Buurmas, Installed just fine using Qole's repository. Now I have the orig browser, Midori, and Tear installed, which should give me an opportunity to decide which one suits me best.
Thanks for the Mobile Links as well. I had found some, but it's always good to have such a reference.

Minefield is also a pretty neat browser that often doesn't get much 'buzz': http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=52434

I wish someone would compile the latest Firefox 4 build for Maemo4 (HTML5 and webm support, hello). Sadly I've tried and failed. IIRC Berkely db4 as a build-time dependency and that was too tricky to get working.

Looks like all the links mentioned in the thread are either broken or ''File No Longer Avail''. Do you know of a Repository that includes Minefield? I would like to give it a try.
Thanks,

Firefox (Desktop) "Minefield" (Nightly Release) version 3.0b2pre (OLD)
http://www.box.net/shared/khd6txassc

There is also Aurora:
http://www.box.net/shared/m5j4qbdeb5 but it's not that great.

Install the Grab & Drag extension/add-on for use with "Minefield": https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1250/
