I can also confirm that clearing browsing history has improved browser performance.

Hopefully the issue will be addressed in the next update.

Yes the browser seems a lot faster when history is cleared. Waiting for that firmware update...

had the exactly(!) the same problems described by the threadstarter...

but what can we do until a new fw release has fixed it? write an app to autodelete the history?

Not for me. I just browsed from the tmo main page and drilled down to this thread in 15-20 seconds. no page took more than 3 to load. The thread display is the worst, presumably because of the tables.

This is with adblock istalled, btw.

Edited to add: I do only have about 150 items in my history at the moment.

Didn't see anyone mention it, but looks like JIT is working on MicroB. Its disabled by default, but after I enabled it in about:config, I got a little javascript boost (~20-30%):
