Hi, what am I doing wrong?
Code:
$ sudo apt-get purge gcc-4.6-base
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:
  qt-components-base-theme libwildmidi0 liblcms1 wireless-tools
  libgoocanvas-common libopenjpeg2 libvorbisenc2
  ttf-bpg-georgian-fonts cpio libmpfr1ldbl libtvout-ctl patch
  libxinerama1 libmpc2
Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following packages will be REMOVED:
  %a long list of packages%
WARNING: The following essential packages will be removed.
This should NOT be done unless you know exactly what you are doing!
apt libgcc1 (due to apt) libstdc++6 (due to apt) dpkg perl-base
(due to dpkg) e2fsprogs e2fslibs (due to e2fsprogs) libblkid1 (due
  to e2fsprogs) libuuid1 (due to e2fsprogs) grep-gnu
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 848 to remove and 2 not upgraded.
After this operation, 990MB disk space will be freed.
You are about to do something potentially harmful.

Parts of Fremantle have been rebuilt to depend on GCC 4.6 libraries (CSSU, I think?)

Hmm, no. Only CSSU-thumb, but with gcc 4.7

libgcc1 version 4.6 is now in extras (as well as -testing and -devel). Stock nokia comes with 4.2.1

I guess you might try reinstalling libgcc1 4.2.1 and then it might work. Don't want to try that though. I also have 4.6 and have noticed no problems with it.

Seems I'm guilty for spreading of libstd++4.6, but I think there aren't any issue reported about it. (Are you reporting some now?)

And as mentioned, there are also libstd++4.7, and it can be used as a drop-in-replacement, and it's issue count is also zero.
