Would you perhaps have to comment out the permission check by hand?

The main issue is that that problem occurs using the official released package.

The change probably is trivial - but then the OBS will use a slightly different package to that in the SDK....and it is by no means the only sdk package that doesn't quite work in a clean/minimal non-scratchbox chroot.

maybe a meta-package (maemo-sdk-obs?) to install the maemo buildroot + post install script to fix all isuses

how we can test the maemo obs ?
