I'd like to install an X server on my Windows XP Pro laptop machine to facilitate remote use of my new Nokia 770. (In other words, treat the 770 like a headless machine.)

I see that Cygwin/Xfree86 seems to be a likely choice as an open source X server for my XP Pro machine.

Would any of you more experienced folks suggest another open source (or free) X server for Wintel platform?

Thank you for any suggestions.

Regards,

DG

Xming, this is the same minus cygwin, same Xorg source but recompiled with mingw, not cygwin. Unless you use cygwin anyway Xming may be a better choice.
