seems to be an artificial limit on my desktop. both firefox and arora ran at a constant 100fps from the start, so my results are pretty worthless. From the comments though, seems that webkit is better at this than gecko.

I had this survery targeted at desktops machines inside the company, so pretty limited choice of hardware, with interesting results.

- Chrome beats everything, on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, score ranges from 200 to 250, being capped at 250

- Webkit - based browsers (Konqueror, Safari, Webkit) are capped at 100 fps, as well as Firefox. However, the range for this browsers start at around 60 fps, Chrome starting at 200 fps.

- Firefox performance seems heavily influenced by the plugins installed.

- Generally talking, Lenovo T61p laptops surpass Apple Macbook Pros, only if running Windows 7, compared on Firefox 3.5.4

- Internet explorer, no matter the version, have worst results, best being 8.0 at 65 fps

- Safari dominates in the mobile world, the iPhone 3GS is surpassing even some of the Lenovo. Tear on N800 comes close, I'm gonna try it.

Please keep the results coming.
BTW, an interesting tidbit, the server serving this file is an ARM machine, the first ARM server for me .

Go figure.

And I saw no diff with or without bricks...

@ tso, what was tear 0.3.5's average performance?

BTW, IE8 on Win7 @ 64 fps
when the test starts it average on 65 fps, on the middle way it goes over 85 and never decarease under this value...I had a top of 98, and there were still blocks (for what matters xD)
