This is - one of - the reasons I try to convince folks to start using Telegram. Would like to see some more support from meamo devs for Telegram as well (client is GPL licensed so porting should be relatively easy) .

Hello,
resyncing contacts doesn't seem to work for me. After initial sync, contacts which were added to the address book later will not appear in my wu-contact list until they send me a message (if at all).

So, does anybody have any news on the final 'verdict' on Whatsup's status? Is it now officially discontinued? Would be a real shame, but above all: thanks cepi for your incredible work and addition to the Sailfish platform through this app in the first place 
Now, if the app is indeed discontinued I can start informing my friends that they can find me on Telegram in the future since I'm not planning on fouling my beautiful Sailfish OS by using the Android/Dalvik environment
(which is what I'm trying to get away from in the first place...)

No WhatsUp, no WhatsApp. At least, that's how I see it. I fully support coderus including Mitakuuluu but WA has gone a bridge too far IMHO so w/o WhatsUp I will stop using WhatsApp, just like I removed my Facebook account some months ago.
