As per CepiPerez post, I installed android. I now have all the files in place, and a multiboot item however ....

I'm going to guess this is related to the editing of the multiboot item. I'm getting a guru meditation error

Code:
Root filesystem mmcblk0p5 NOT available!
Guru Meditation #000000025.62017712

Hit any key to panic!
Maemo boots fine, only NITDroid gives the above error.

At this point I was about to post my multiboot .item file contents for you folks to look at and give me help but the solution was in the name of the 11* .item name. For me, it's not mmcblk0p5, it's mmcblk0p2.

Booting into android right now

Thanks everyone for you help!!

If you get this error and you have NITDroid that ends in .06, delete the words highlighted in BOLD from your multiboot file:

ITEM_NAME="NITdroid on MMCp2 - 2.6.28.NIT.05"
ITEM_KERNEL=2.6.28.NIT.05
ITEM_MODULES=ext3 fat vfat
ITEM_DEVICE=${INT_CARD}p2
ITEM_FSTYPE=ext3
ITEM_FSOPTIONS=rw,noatime,errors=remount-ro,commit=3
EOF

NITDroid should boot fine once you have deleted those words.

I admire the work you have done to help some fellow noobs and non-noobs but Your tutorial at certain places is confusing / incorrect or not correctly placed.

c) edit the boot file
Code:
leafpad /etc/multiboot.d/1
shouldn't this be

leafpad /etc/multiboot.d/11*

d) edit ur .item file to look like this
ITEM_NAME="NITdroid on MMCp2 - 2.6.28.NIT.05"
ITEM_KERNEL=2.6.28.NIT.05
ITEM_MODULES=ext3 fat vfat
ITEM_DEVICE=${INT_CARD}p2
ITEM_FSTYPE=ext3
ITEM_FSOPTIONS=rw,noatime,errors=remount-ro,commit=3
EOF
And should not this be as per the first attached image

http://talk.maemo.org/attachment.php...1&d=1291289518

Those minor mistakes go a long way botching up users device and dreams for getting some developer hands on

Please correct em!

RIght for as petty as this seems, is there ANY WAY of getting this to work without the need of a card in the slot?

My phone doesnt detect the back cover anymore, so therefore doesn't detect the MMC, which is the reason why my N900 is repartitioned to get this to work!!

Any ideas guys?

Thanks!

Here is a comparison video of NITDroid via eMMC vs an HD2 with the latest Nexus FroYo 2.2.1.

Very nice UI speed.

Which files in /home are nitdroid's? I dont want to delete something that will require a reflash.

Thanks,
