Hexedit:
hexedit shows a file both in ASCII and in hexadecimal. The file can be a device as the file is not wholly read. You can modify the file and search through it. You have also copy&paste and save to file functions. Truncating or appending to the file is allowed. Modifications are shown in bold.

Nmap:
Nmap ("Network Mapper") is a free and open source (license) utility for network discovery and security auditing. Many systems and network administrators also find it useful for tasks such as network inventory, managing service upgrade schedules, and monitoring host or service uptime. I just tried it on my HTC One and my refurbished and upgraded dell d630 with a tiny little BT dongle that was originally meant for a tiny wireless KB and it worked.
Probably would be nice for you guys using Jolla to have a native client.

I would look into it myself, if I had more time (exam period...), but while I know how to compile it on the device or in the emulator, I have no idea how to package it for OpenRepos.
