@mbo,

Thank you so much for such an exceptional utility. I am a neuroscience academic and this Ask Ziggy adds a degree of efficiency to my work output.

Question/suggestion, however: For those of us that are on a 2.5g coverage, browsing Wikipedia articles via wapedia.org is much more efficient and significantly faster. Is it possible to add wapedia.org for your searches?

Thank you again!

Services popup /settings
-when user taps outside of window it should dismiss changes.Separate save button would make it consisten with maemo os
-possibility to re-arrange just by dragging, check box as separate box
main view
-retrive favicons for services
-portrait mode?
-search box in main view and click on service executes search
results
-result list with url link/button on right side

A new version is available in extras-devel or by clicking on http://repository.maemo.org/extras-d....4.1-1_all.deb

Well, I decided to add an option to open webpages with google mobilizer, for example http://google.com/gwt/x?u=http%3A%2F...UTF-8&oe=UTF-8. So every service is optimized for lower bandwith.

I've added icons for the service list. I will look on the other points later.

At the moment I'm working on a webapp of Ask Ziggy, so I'm not very convinced about implementing portrait mode etc. Mainly due to time reasons and the lack of knowledge. It's my first gtk/"desktop" app, I'm more familiar with web development...

Thank you for quickly updating that mbo.

Excellent implementation of the google mobilizer... service is definitely optimized and Ziggy is still Zippy even @ lower bandwith.

Hi,

yahoo services and google translate aren't open apis anymore, so they won't function anymore.

I've stopped the development of this app 3 years ago. So no updates or fixes anymore, I'm sorry for this...

Cheers

well, if you create a Google developer account, and an application ID for the app it can work, unfortunately, each user needs to do that, individually.
