longest 30 minutes of my life, but I confirm. He does not use the keyboard though. Shame to use a N950 just to make phone calls, even if it's from a helicopter.

It's unfortunate that they are not capitalizing on their "Transformers" angle since they clearly have invested in it (also evidenced by the N900 Transformers ad).
You're an idiot, Starscream. I JUST gave you a URL earlier to Nokia's OWN website where they have overt tie-ins with the movie and clearly mention THAT device is the one in the movie.

Here it is again for you, since you appeared to be unable to read anything older than your own comment...

BOOM! They even use Transformers in the Nokia web site for the Asstound.

It wasn't an N950 at all--earlier or current or in the future. It was already identified as a Nokia Asstound.

Yeah sure, an astound with straight, slightly oblique corners, and uniform body, and no call button. Specially made for transformer.
Have you seen the movie?
Do you realize that they use more than one phone in it? And the possibility that not all of them are astound? or you are just trolling?
I saw your first post, then looked at the astound, THEN saw the movie. And it really, really didn't look like an astound.

Or, a phone that wants to be a blockbuster summer hit is in a movie that wants to be a blockbuster summer hit.

Sometimes it's more about brand (rather than specific product) placement, cf the 770s in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer & Live Free or Die Hard.

Doesn't look like Astound. Astound was in the movie somewhere, along with many other Nokia devices, but X7 and what looks like N950 had the main appearance.

Could Nokia be surprising us with a good decision for once!?

On the other hand, Sony showed a Vaio UX-series in one of the last two James Bond movies, and in Terminator Salvation IIRC, and production of those had ceased years before either of those movies came out, so maybe Nokia is doing something similar
