Hi all, I've checked but did not be able to find a permanent fix to get rid of the red light while shooting a video or capturing an image.

is there an easy way to do so?

Br.

Did you find a temporary fix?

Get one of the androids, I think SGSII does not light up when you do video.

Or use black tape on your N9's LED's

Yes there is a temp fix but you need to run the script after every reboot, I've found it in this forum

I don't mind the light, but getting rid of the shutter sound would be welcome.

please please post the temporary fix here. i couldnt find it.

once you do, simply put this in /etc/init/apps/camera-red-light.conf:
Code:
description "Camera Red Light District"
author "your-name-here"

stop on stopping xsession
console none
THE FIX COMMAND
