cant believe someone is waiting for n810 successor. i thought people were waiting only for new n900 and webOS phones. i have never played with n810 though.
i know next to nothing about jolla man but i hate waiting.

One of the big questions is whether they are going to continue the other half concept. Has it really given that much or was it just a stupid gimmick?

If the can't make one that is backward compatible on a successor, I'm not sure its worth having.

The J2, if it ever comes, I think I will be more careful before even thinking about ordering.

As I can see no companies jump on that Jolla wagon yet, no-one to make software/games for it and Jolla won't enable store for paid apps, at least not yet. In order to drop the whole alien dalvik, sailfish must be ready for commercial targeting.

Bugs, MUST be corrected. Right now its too much and a lot of it is is plain usability. The browser honestly stinks and eats ram like a hog.

Nope, next time, I will be careful.
If my Jolla breaks down, I'll be looking other ways until Jolla has started to become stable.

Its the total experience that counts, and for me its pretty mediocre for the time.

Just imagine if jolla let the users/buyers decide what to do next. IT could be worse then the first jolla phone

This is how jolla should design jPll:
3 options for screen - Vote
3 option for design - Vote
3 options for This and that - Vote
3 option for price - Vote
4 option for names - Vote
1 option for releaseparty- Yes!

Would be unlike

Yeah... actually you may be on to somethin' there.
The moment I get my neo900 board..
I'm gutting one of my n900's ..
pulling the board out of it...
puttin' the neo board in the n900 body..
and I'm gonna take that old n900 board...
and I'm gonna see how well it wants to work after I gut one of my n810's...
and jam the n900 board in...
both the n900 and n810 boards use a toppoly screen...albeit different variants...
I want to see if there will be sparks flyin'....
Always wanted a bigger screen and keyboard on a n900 anyway...
make my own bloody n820...
there is a good chance I won't survive the experimental procedure ..

Yeah, without paid apps, goodbye jolla business strategy (cut from 0 is 0)

That isn't much of a consolation to me when the stock browser runs like dog *****.

Even WITH paid apps, how many people out there are running Sailfish?

They've admitted to not hitting sales targets for the phone by a long way and many of even the faithful have given up waiting for bug fixes never mind an app store that has anything other than hobby projects in it.

According to http://reviewjolla.blogspot.co.uk/20...ufacturer.html

"Sailfish OS development takes about 20 million euros per year according to Saarnio."

and Simo guestimated 40,000 phones sold last year but lets be generous and call it 100,000.

You don't need to do the maths to work out that it's just not sustainable even at the current slow rate of development and their model sounds like a complete punt.

I can only presume Saarnio has some mega profitable licencing deal up his sleeve or they're looking to sell the company to some big mega-corp with more money than they know what to do with just to get an OS for their smart TV.
