Hi Luf,

I linked device TomTom GO-950 with N900 (obexd_0.18) and tried to copy the phone book. This function is not possible.
I have KP v.51+ CSSU-stable+obexd_0.18.
Can you modify obexd_0.46 dev1 that work this?

Unfortunately this isn't only obexd related. It needs changes in bluez package also. And as I wrote it doesn't have high priority on my todo list.

Hi there,

I want to use my N900 in my Mercedes C-Class. When I first tried it all worked like expected. But the next time I had the problem, that the incoming sound didn't went through the car's Speaker but through the Telephone.

When I delete the profile of my car and make a completely new connection it works fine again. But as soon as i disconnect the bluetooth connection and reconnect it, the problem is there again.

Any suggestions?

I'm on power kernel-power v51 and CSSU testing Thumb

Hello,

to dig into the problem I need:

1) version of bluez and obexd packages (however I don't think it's obexd related)
2) debug bluetoothd (both - the first working connection and also after reconnect) *
3) you can also try newer bluez (no idea if it helps you) from http://merlin1991.at/~luf/bluez/ (maemo2 version)

* some information about debugging is in wiki
http://wiki.maemo.org/Bluetooth_PBAP#Troubleshooting
How to enable bluetoothd debug in /etc/event.d/bluetoothd is in this thread (version 4.6x - add "-d"; version 4.99 - add "-d '*'") in older posts

Hi luf,

thanks for your support. I will try it at first with the newer version of bluez.
If i have no success with it, I'll give you the needed debug information.

Ok, newer version of bluez didn't help.
I also upgraded to Kernel-Power 52 with no effect.
I don't think that i'll manage to do the debugging today and tomorrow i'll go on holiday for a week , so I'm going to tell you the debugging results after my holiday.

Cheers

@luf: Just in case... wanted to give a small update that i fixed the issues regarding contacts missing when phonebook accessed from carkit. Also, file transfer issues are solved. (Un-)Fortuately, that meant switching phone model and OS (now running on Android).
I'm sorry, but from now on that also means i'm not available for analyzing things/tests for bluez and PBAP etc., as the N900 is now delegated to "spare gadget"/2nd SIM for travel usage. Just finally too tired to have so many half-supported and non-working but time-consuming things under Maemo.
Thank you very much for all your efforts!

[OT]No, please don't. One post that is just an excuse for zealot'ish religious preaching about new operating system that he converted switched to is about enough [/OT]
