Just updated Fcamera, drivers from yesterday, no green flash here. @bachagabriel - don't forget to reboot after updating the drivers.

FCamera is nice, Good work guys..
Please make sure you improve it and make a real good final app.

See some samples here. http://www.nokiatimes.com/2010/07/hd...-settings.html

I noticed that every time you use the built in Camera app I had to restart the phone to use FCamera.

We've modified BlessN900 so that now it works via fcam-drivers.
New version will be released as soon as the 'conflict: blessn900' is removed from fcam-drivers (otherwise it is not possible to install fcam-drivers and blessn900 together). You will be able to use both fcamera and blessn900 on the same device then.

New version (0.35) of BlessN900 is released:
Better HDR performance
EXIF support (including photo orientation)
Better blurless performance, fix of some rare artefacts
Executable optified
Application uses fcam-drivers now (it gives much better control over the camera parameters, many thanks to fcam-drivers developers).

Available at http://blessn900.com and in extras-devel (soon in extras-testing)

I've updated BlessN900. BlessN900 isn't starting anymore. I haven't installed fcam. Do I need the fcam drivers?

i had fcamera ... it crushed today and that was it. it won't start anymore. i've rebooted the phone, reinstalled the application, tried bessn900. none work! they don't start! and they both mess the LEDs

both use the fcam drivers ... i hope one finds a solution cause fcamera were so much better than the regular camera application

The drivers should have been pulled in automatically with the new BlessN900. Have you rebooted after the install?

EDIT: In fact, looks like a bug with the new version. The .desktop file tries to launch /usr/bin/blessn900 but that isn't part of the install. In addition, the /opt/blessn900/blessn900 application isn't set as executable. So you'll need to do "chmod 755 /opt/blessn900/blessn900" and edit the /usr/share/applications/hildon/blessn900.desktop file to change the launch command.

That's too complicated for me. Can you include this in the next update please?
