this is a beautiful UI from Digia and it shows that people should stop panicking about the Vanilla MeeGo Handset UI not being what they want b/c there's so much potential for cool UI's what people can build and even install themselves in the future.
If Digia really built this in a month just imagine what Nokia or Community members could do in 6

thanks for the link.
its pretty neat but i did detect UI response issues there.
i could be wrong maybe the phone was working on other services
in the background, however the response to her multiple finger swipe
is not really appealing to me.

what is the point to have outstanding glass UI effect with bubbles and stuff when one has to finger swipe 4 to 5 times just to get it going......

remember your looking at one months work by a single developer, its obviously nowhere near a finished or usable state, but the potential for alternative UI's is promising and this concept UI looks awesome.
Maybe N900 needs the Updated GPU drivers like it does for vanilla MeeGo to run decent.

awesome that its utilizing the opengl in home screen. the n900 version though still needs optimization.

im wondering, when or will it ever be available for download?

Looks nice, but i seriously doubt it will be useful in a real life setting. Suppose you want to call ur favorite contact, u click on the icon and the contact bubbles away. Then u gotta hunt and click it. No muscle memory possible.
I for one think that, while being Wow-ed for a few minutes, most users will tire of it very fast.

I think you're right about that, but it IS the wow that sells phones in the first place.

well it does look awesome.. after seeing that, it seems the posibilities are endless and limited by hardware only.

But people... dont get your hopes up for having that ui on your n900.. the n900 is famous for showing of concept stuff with out ever being released for it... just look at flash 10
