I need a platform to survey my "neighborhood" for device comms. I'd like to figure out who's on my network, in my Bluetooth vicinity, and using GSM/radio to communicate. I'd love to use the N900.

I know I can survey my WiFi (although not in promiscuous mode...why? grr...). I know I can ping/discover my Bluetooth neighborhood. How low -- how deep -- can I go into the stack? Can I access the radio and what I can I receive/transmit?

I'm going to run some experiments, but I thought I'd pick the collective wisdom first. Thanks!
