Just install KP52 from extras.

So both kernel-cssu and kernel-power can be installed at the same time?

kp52 would become your default kernel, replacing kernel-cssu unless you set it up with uboot. Unfortunately you'd then be in a situation where you have 2 kernels available but only one which meets the requirements of the bme version you want to try.

As long as both can exist without causing error, I have no problem with that.
Or I can remove kernel-cssu after booting with kernel-power, right?

Can somebody please let me know which repositories should be used for CSSU-Thumb2?

(I could not find a wiki entry and only brief remarks in this thread about this and that repository that should be used.)

This is my current list
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list

Code:
deb http://repository.maemo.org/community-testing/ fremantle free non-free
deb http://maemo.merlin1991.at/cssu/community-devel/ fremantle free non-free
deb http://maemo.merlin1991.at/cssu/community-thumb/ fremantle free non-free
deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/apps/ ./
deb https://downloads.maemo.nokia.com/fremantle/ssu/mr0 ./
deb http://repository.maemo.org/extras/ fremantle-1.3 free non-free
deb http://maemo.merlin1991.at/cssu/community-thumb/ fremantle free non-free
deb http://extras-devel.merlin1991.at/ fremantle free non-free
I also have these repositories active, as I experimented with compiling on the N900:

Code:
#Dev Tools
deb http://repository.maemo.org/ fremantle/sdk free non-free
deb-src http://repository.maemo.org/ fremantle/sdk free
deb http://repository.maemo.org/ fremantle/tools free non-free
deb-src http://repository.maemo.org/ fremantle/tools free

/etc/apt/preferences:

Code:
Package: *
Pin: release a=community-thumb
Pin-Priority: 700

Package: *
Pin: release a=Extras-devel-light
Pin-Priority: 500

Package: *
Pin: release l=Extras
Pin-Priority: 550

Package: *
Pin: release l=community-testing
Pin-Priority: 600

I went on to install CSSU-thumb, got the script to install the catalogs and do some other stuff (can't remember the specifics), but at the same time I was slightly tinkering with the phone, and the internet connection was cut.

Not being sure it had had an impact, I left the phone as is (after getting the connection back, of course) for a bit more than one hour, and nothing happened.
And certaintly not the series of HAM prompts advertised at step #5 of the installation on the wiki.

When I try to launch the install script again, it just tells me that the community-ssu-enabler is already installed, checks for updates, and... that's all there seems to be, even when waiting for 30 minutes.

I tried to clean things a bit by, well... cleaning the phone, but the result is just the same.

Is there any way to continue on the installation proper, or to check if it's actually doing something ?

Or do I have to resort to reflashing ?

From what you have explained you have installed the "installer metapackage" but the packages haven't upgraded.

Use HAM to select Update and wait for it to finish, then select Refresh.
Hopefully after a long while HAM will have sorted itself out and there will be updates available then you can update.

Failing that you could either reflash and start again (recommended) or use terminal to force the installation.

Thanks a lot !

I noticed the package being available, but wasn't sure I could update it safely.

Now I did, and unlike what you said in my quote, when the update finished there was no way to select Refresh, as the phone rebooted by itself.
I then checked the application manager, but there was no update left there.
I also don't have a "Community SSU" application/icon, when following the wiki.
I do have "About Maemo 5 Community SSU" in Settings, though, and the version is 21.2011.38-1Tmaemo9.1+thumb1...
The other new entry I have in Settings is "Operator Name Widget".

Can somebody please post the repositories or check mine, as asked in post http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...postcount=2115

The Program Manager tells that there is a new thumbs version to install, though apparently I have this version setup already (as shown in settings /product info).

When I try to install it anyhow, it fails with error message shown in the attached screenshot.

When trying to do apt-get install dist-upgrade a myriade of packages would get removed, so I canceled it.

There seems something wrong in my repository settings. Please clarify if you can.
