Konttori jumped the LUmia ship. He is no more MEego man
Nope, jumped to MP, which does do some work with WP, but not exclusively.
He's working on devices way into the future etc...

MP = mobile phones
WP & Meltemi sit underneath it (actually I think WP might in it's own division).

I had a chat with him once....
He chose not to become dev coordinator for Meltemi because it's spread out all over the world.
This meant much more travel than was necessary when he was dev coordinator for MeeGo.
He said Meletmi's a very big project, same scale as Harmattan apparently.*
I will believe that when I actually see products and developer programs etc.

*without the 75% scale-back that Harmattan's had in the past yr of course

I'm afraid you're wrong here: scale back on Harmattan has been 90% up to February and it will be 100% from the end of April.

Meanwhile more resources are allocated to the next billion project, which isn't bad IMO. I'm guessing the 100% scale-back you refer to means that people working on the next billion will also maintain harmattan? (Nokians hint there are more than one release planned for harmattan...)

I'm all for the next billion, and secretly hope N9 could run it in one way or another...

Well I was told by a dev coordinator on Jan 14th, that it was 60% maybe even 70%.
Of course it may have increased since then but I doubt it'd be at 90% since Feb, & certainly not 100% by April, that makes no sense.
Maybe I will check with them again.....

No, I mean and I am almost sure of it, that there will be no maintenance of Harmattan at all starting from May 2012 (yes this year).
