Debinstaller is simple tool for installing deb packages


Replacing system default installation dialog. After removing default install action will be restored.

Debinstaller support aegis-installer hack and openmode for installing packages with com.nokia.maemo origin without using terminal. It also allow to use GDebi instead of Dpkg, if installed.

INSTALLATION:

install package [apt-get install debinstall] from my Trusted Repository by using [apt-get install debinstall]
or download debinstall_1.0.3_armel.deb and install it with [aegis-dpkg -i file]

USAGE:

After debinstaller installed just click on .deb file you want to install in your filemanager or transfers window.

UI EXPLANATION:

Show manifest - showing credentials requested by application
Regular installation - start installation with system default installation window
Trusted switch - affects on Dpkg and GDebi methods, active only if aegis-installer hack installed or phone in openmode,need for installation packages requires hack.
Dpkg - start installation using dpkg (will open console window, you can copy log after process finished)
GDebi - start installation using gdebi (if installed, will open console window too)

It's too difficult coderus at least to me!

What do you mean by this: removing default installui

where is .deb file in filemanager?

Install: it isn't just (as normal) to install package: apt-get install debinstaller - then what to do?

Garp, it simple.. If you have Coderus trusted repo, install it via:
Code:
apt-get install debinstall
If you not have this repo you need patched aegis-install and install it via:
Code:
aegis-dpkg -i /path/to/debinstall*
This installer will replace default installer ui.
If you will remove this debinstall package, it will restore default installer ui.

Thanks have tried that both with debinstaller and debinstall yesterday - couldn't find package/directory!
But to day it works - maybe Network problem yesterday!
