after restoring a good backup image i took prior to the latest cssu build, i went ahead and reinstalled cssu again. then something odd happened, i had a corrupted menu bar at the top. by corrupted i mean that i had a small window that contained the system menu button of the top left. everything to the right was frozen - not being updated. as a result, when i launch an app, i couldn't see the x to close an app and the spinning icon that appears to the right of a the window name when the app is launching never stops spinning.

unfortunately, overclocking, speed patch and battery patch have a slightly higher direct utility to me than the cssu. so, i'm holding off on upgrading my cssu build until the the teams/individuals working on those packages have made them compatible with the current cssu.

Any Ideas ?
W: stands for warnings, it's safe to ignore it, it's a problem on Nokia's servers, unrelated to the CSSU (and we've all been getting it).

I removed hildon-theme-alpha to make rootfs space to be able to install cssu. Any chance you did that too? because after installing the cssu I had the exact same problem which got resolved by reinstalling the theme.

By the way modest has not crashed once for about 24 hours

EDIT: And I have been working with speedpatch (from repos) and CSSU flawlessly since release (16.5) I am waiting for more gps feedback before I go 16.8 because I use none of the programs the fixes affect but rather use gps very much.

@qwazix
i also had problems locking with gps yesterday but i tried corduroysack's suggestion: "change supl.nokia.com to supl.google.com in network positioning found in location in settings"
that did help. i'm using 16.8 and karam's patches (manual install, not from repo).

Sorry if I'm not being updated but I don't see any new updates just yet. So I would like to ask if is the hildon-desktop crash issue still exist? Ah yes only when enabling the 2 portrait settings on gconf. The portrait wallpaper & vertical scrolling. Cause AFAIK I already have the latest updates but I still get the reboot loop when enabling both options.

After applying the patch for Modest that was posted a few pages ago in this thread, I can also confirm no crashes.

As for the GPS issues, as reported before by me and others, after changing to supl.google.com everything surrounding GPS and AGPS is working flawlessly.

Anyone got idea why supl.nokia.com doesn't work anymore? It is unrelated to CSSU update, yes?

omg......you are right. i did that too. i did it because after i restored the good backup image, i lost 10mb which is odd because when i took the backup image, i had about 46mb of rootfs space left (and after restoring, i have 36mb left).

anyway this is my plan:
1. remove battery patch / speed patch
2. revert to stock nokia kernel
3. reapply cssu
4. reapply v48 of kernel power
5. reapply battery and speed patch

let's see if anything weird happens then.

thanks.
