Good phone, expect between $150-$250.
Add in Super E ("best" 2.1 ROM from xda) and you have a killer setup.
I will buy one in the future, if N900/Milestone prices still stay platinum.
Expect a fully-working (but not fast&stable) Froyo for it shortly. Maybe next year Super F will be out

Never heard of Super E. Is that the latest cyanogen release?

Nah, Super E is just plain Android whereas CyanogenMod is like a hybrid.

Super E so far gets the best speed and stability.
The recently released CM is now stable but not as fast as Super E.
And CMod's have compatability issues with Android Apps. It doesn't mean they don't work, just that you need to do alot of twitches to get some of them to work, but for the average user is gets frustrating.
Oh and another very very very important thing, CMods are not open source.
If there is a bug in CM, all you can do is report it and wait for a release.
With Super E and other ROMs, you can fixit yourself and publish how you got it working. So infact, you help the project/community!

I can't confirm these, but I was told these by several developers on there.
