can somebody port over xp calculator plus
or even converter 2 from the nokia 7250

or add a feature into the standard calculator that does the basic conversions the xp 1 does and the ability to add your own conversions??

as gonvert lists way too many conversions for each entry

Have you tried Speedcrunch? It might do what you're looking for

A decent programmers calculator wouldn't go amiss either.

The best calculator proggy is Almost TI85. qalculator would have been good but it has gui layout issues which makes it awkward to use.

With Gonvert you can select which units are your preferred and only show those.

I should add a default setting for all of that....

Depending on what you want, ejpi might work. With my Qt port I've sped things up a lot. Major known issues include
  • Pie menu placement
  • RPN only
  • Pie menu buttons only show the center action and not any of the radial actions, making the user have to hunt for what they want.

It does do some basic math, basic base conversions, and boolean logic.
