Hmm, I'd obviously misunderstood. I'd thought USB/IP referred to IP over USB. That would indeed be cool.

The project seems to be dead.

I noticed that settings -> "calibrate screen" crashes immediately with the new kernel.
Could this be due to evdev modules?
Does it work with your kernel?

I'm just curious, how is your custom kernel optimized for speed?

I disabled the optimize for size option (-Os) - speed is the default (-O2)

I don't get it. There is nothing there but a list of a few developers from 2008. Where is the project/info/meat? The svn is 18 months old and just some empty folders. What's the background?

Hi,

I've just got round to trying USB/IP due to a powercut!

Unfortunately the package does not seem to run properly, full stop, without any parameters even input; it just outputs a load of gobbledegook to the terminal.

It runs fine on my machine using easy deb chroot (though I don't get very far there as I have no vhci-hcd.ko or usb_common_mod.ko)

Any thoughts about what to do next or anything I have done wrong?

Cheers

there was a problem with the usb.ids file.
It's fixed in the latest version 0.1.7-3maemo3 in extras-devel.
I hope it works fine now?

Hi titan,

Thank you for your great kernel. However I still cannot use the routing function of iptables. Do the NAT related modules still missing?

thanks for spotting this. I actually forgot to enable one option.
The new kernel should now have full NAT, and USB/IP and dmloop built-in.
