Hello,

Would it be possible to run Fatal Racing game through DosBox on N900? I own 15years old 30mb CDRom of the game. It would be awsome if it was possible. It is the game of my childhood... It is still cool!

I would love to, but unfortunately I have no idea what commands to use in dosbox, how and to what format compile an image of the cd with the game data etc... Is there sth like a step-by-step guide on how to make a game run on N900 using dosbox?
Thanks in advance,

Cheers,
Ralph

Well i suggest you search google, dosbox documentation isen`t limited to maemo.org find out if its possible to mount image files in dosbox, else you might have to mount the cd on a pc and then copy the installation files, over to your n900 folder, thats mounted as a partition in dosbox.

I wish i could help more then that. But i have never tried it my self.

Looking in the general Dosbox compatibility list it's supported:

http://www.dosbox.com/comp_list.php?...=1288&letter=F

But even if it works on the N900 don't expect a smooth playable frame rate as it's a late protected mode DOS game which needs lots of hardware power...

As a small how to:

Try to get it working with a PC Dosbox version. Install it on a PC and try if it works. Use a full install if available. Now you can copy the installed files to your N900.
Look in the Dosbox thread linked in a post above and learn how to edit the dosbox.conf file.

Good luck...
