No. I'll never buy the phone because of the camera. Any midranger these days has good enough camera for what it is and how it is used. The rest is more marketing than 500€ better photos.

Only different is... That those top-phones don't have hw keyboard

I think that F(x) will have better camera than N9 and that's enough for me.

The point is that it cost ridiculous amount of money because of the camera (or latest trend, 1TB of storage) and it's a junk in a year and a half while my a5000 still going strong, no cracked screen or outdated OS. Or dead glued in battery.
The other point is that nobody uses 100% crop from camera phones where you can see the difference. I'm not exactly a talent for photography nor do I know much about "how to" when it comes to taking great photos. But I do understand technology as such. With it's limitations.

one is from single camera phone from 2015 and the other one is from a5000, both resized to some 720p.

Don't get me wrong, there's a huge difference in camera performance from a few years back, but the way those photos are consumed/used is still the same and that's why I don't see the point in paying crazy money just because of the camera.

You don’t need the best tech possible...until you need it.

Perfect condition...everything handles that. But when you have to break you want the best possible breaks. Rest of the time you might be happy with average.

Nice photos in perfect conditions and range.

I don’t think we should compare this phone with the device we have today. If you you have a n900 or n9 you might get some improvements.

Qwerty is the only feature that will be noticeable with device.

I don't need the best lens for higher prices. But looking at old picture from my n900 on HiDPI screen is not ideal. I'm happy I have them of course.

But for those that say phone cameras will never replace "real" DLSR cameras, I think are not being realistic. It's really only a matter of time for hardware and software to make it user choice and not the final product. It's almost here already just needs to be made smaller and add AI (locally hopefully) to it like google is doing.

Have a look at this, camera (phone like device)

Now that's quality right over there.
What's the exact alloy number? How do Chen plans to compensate for the significantly higher production and finishing price for magnesium alloy parts? Thanks!

no, it is not. Just like with every digital information, if it is not recorded or is lost in some transcoding/resizing/whatever it is gone forever and you can't replace it no matter how smart is AI/SW.
But then again, it all depends if one likes more picture that is eye catchy or picture that looks like we see it with our eyes.
