Well isn't this a surprise? The N810 I bought on Ebay months ago has had a rattling sound for a while. Today I finally opened the case up and found an unused 8GB microSD card.
The guy selling it on Ebay didn't mention that as included, so I can only guess it was there when HE bought it on Ebay.
Sadly, extracting that from the innards of my N810 didn't solve the issue where my miniSD drive doesn't work. It might point to where the problem started (like maybe someone tried a bit to hard to make a microSD work in the N810 with no miniSD adapter), but that's about all.
So this weekend I'm finally going to reflash this puppy. Here's hoping that makes a difference. If not, I still have a pretty nice 2GB-internal-only machine that will last me until the Android tablet prices start dropping.
