Is there any way to get portrait icons without using Drlaunch? Like maybe through QBW or something?

The reason I don't want to use Drlaunch is because it is too restrictive in what you can do with it, I want to use custom icons and align them in multiple ways, not just in a grid.

So can someone manage this using QBW or other scripts? Please help me!

Yes you can use QBW

dbus-send --system --type=method_call --dest=com.nokia.HildonDesktop.AppMgr /com/nokia/HildonDesktop/AppMgr com.nokia.HildonDesktop.AppMgr.LaunchApplication string:"TwimGo"

replace twimgo with the app name

Where exactly do I input the above command?

I went to advanced and copied/pasted it there and clicked import buffer to beecon but got an error

Open a new QBW, go to 'add cmd' and paste it in there.
