Also there were initial problems with N900. I do not know if the same sort of ordeal would happen with N9. Waiting here might give you more awareness of any potential shortcomings in the said device. nokia may or may not release fixes for any hardware shortfalls on N9. If they do and you happen to get it later than having it preordered, chances are you may not suffer any shortfalls unlike the first adopters.

Hell! You can't even send your device to Nokia for repair without worrying at least a LITTLE that they'll end up magically shipping you back some other COMPLETELY different model that can only run some other operating system. I'd DEFINITELY not trust pre-ordering anything from Nokia... especially with Derpy the Clown in the CEO position.

i;ve pre-ordered with expansys.co.uk there's no confirmed price but they won't charge your card until it's in stock and they'll ask before doing so. i thought there was no harm in putting myself to front of que if i have the choice to back out

I'd wait... I'm pretty sure you'll be able to get it the same week as a preorder without preordering. just cheaper.

"Good things come to those who wait." You know who said that? I don't know either, but I bet they didn't put money down in 2001 to reserve a copy of Duke Nukem Forever. I wouldn't pre-pay on a bad bet like Nokia either.

Refer to my previous statements about waiting for good things.

Prices always drop the first week when competition kicks in. Eager buyers get no discount.

Competition? Which competition? Isn't EVERYBODY, at this point, competition already? Surely, you meant that in jest.

I have no choice.

I live in Spain and here you can not even smell. Expansys has confirmed that it will sell to my country.

I was excited about this device. The only thing I think they missed was better microprocessor and expansion card bay.

The camera is more than enough but it might be nice to see videos of "1080", not record from a mobile phone that I see a little absurd.

It's a shame, criticism of specialists were very good about the performance of the device.
