hi,

i've been looking for some water level application and stumbled upon some vague hints that there was one called "level" in the ovi store about a year ago. but it seems like it is no longer available.
can someone please tell me if there is an alternative?

(i know my n900 will never be as accurate as a real water level.)

It's still there and called "Level Touch", I prefer the angle meter one, "Angle Meter Touch" which is a bit better as it gives the angle of incline of the surface. Also I noticed both my N900s read an angle of 3 degrees on a flat surface, so with the angle meter it is easier to manually correct for that.

thanks for the tips! but it seems like i have a bigger problem.
i never before installed something from ovi store and now tells me that my mobile phone is not compatible.
i had a look at my sources.list and there was still an entry for freemantle 1.2, so i changed it to 1.3. but then apt gives me a 404 error.
am i missing something?

Have you changed your browser's user agent?

I'm not quite sure what to do now.
Angle meter looks great from the screenshots but ovi store want's me to register and I don't see why I should give them my personal data for an application that is free of charge.
On the other hand attitude is free software (I guess - at least it's open source) which is important for me, but without a calibration I'm not sure how useful it will be. I'll have to think it over.
