No crashes so far, even when used for hours at a time. It's the most used program on my phone and it's the best pocket painting solution I've come across.

And I would be very careful about letting your girl play with this program, she will be on your phone all the time.

I do not know but these works for me.. and mine N900 device, these could be little different for every device.

Setting up global pressure is bit a tricky.. experiment, please.

Maybe I try to do some instructions.. how I have customised mine brushes settings and how I can done different like textures and dynamic effects with MyPaint brush engine. Let's see... at least I could throw some example pictures.
Hi, Tone,

Could you post your /home/user/.mypaint/settings.conf file for us? Specifically, I want the "global_pressure_mapping" values.

You can get this by typing at a terminal:
Code:
cat .mypaint/settings.conf
I think copying your exact settings would be more useful than trying to play around with that graph.

Here we come..

There is mine personal settings.conf and recent MyPaint brush collection.

Those brushes, I have done lot of research and worked hard with them so please. (in some cases brush names could be strange.. and icons for brushes maybe not tell a lot.)

http://lpt.fi/~kasutoni/mypaint_n900...Nokia_N900.zip

NOTICE: BACKUP.. and CHMOD thing!
and let me know if there is hazardous errors in my strange instructions. And if somebody knows how to do things correctly about these file permissions, I would like to know.

I try to do some example sheets, how I use those brushes..

Tone

Thanks Tone!

I was actually thinking of making a post with all of the different brush set I've founded, including a fast2slow set I reordered. Now with Tone's that will bring us to about four sets to choose from (beside the default one). Great for those of use with less experience making the brushes we want..

Is anyone interested in this? Perhaps even use some of Tone instructions (with his permission of course). Maybe having it in a separate thread, but linked to this one.

x

edit:
Looks like all the new updates added most of the top brush around the web and it easier to make your own set I decide to skip my original idea. There's just to many brush now..lol

Thank you Creativetone.

I was hoping for the pressure sensitivity numbers, but I got all of your amazing brushes too!

I've been playing with MyPaint again, and your settings give the app new life.

EDIT: For anyone who just wants the pressure settings, here's the "magic line" from /home/user/.mypaint/settings.conf

Code:
global_pressure_mapping = [(0.0, 1.0), (0.0, 0.0), (0.070652173913043473, 0.0), (0.11956521739130435, 0.95833333333333337), (1.0, 1.0)]

Hi Tone, as qole put it, thank you

It is really nice to see the pressure working now, that's just what i was missing in this app to make it complete

Nice brushes by the way, don't think i'll be needing to play with making brushes for a while
