When an alarm goes off (clock or calendar) the volume is set to max. In the case of the alarm clock, you can't specify the tone of the alarm either.

my solution: There should be volume sliders in the calendar and in the alarm clock settings, just like there are sliders in the "Profiles" settings. The user should be able to choose the tone for the alarm clock, too.

What do you guys think?

This would be a nice extension to the PIM functionality on the platform. Would be nice to have a default tone for each type of alarm and allow override on an event basis if required. don't suppose you feel like updating the brainstorm do you?

There's an option to choose alarm tone in the calendar - I don't know if this only applies to calendar alarms or the ones set from the "Clock & Alarms" task bar entry too.
Go to Calendar -> Settings -> Alarm Tone.
