Hi!

I'm working on a widget that can be added more than once on the desktop (X-Multiple=True) and I want to keep different settings for each instance of the widget.
Is there a way I can uniquely identify an instance of my widget, so I can load the correct setting?

Many thanks.
Paolo

Hi,

For GTK+ widgets, you can get the ID: http://maemo.org/api_refs/5.0/5.0-fi...-get-applet-id

For a Qt one I'm not sure... You should check out Venemo's Sticky Notes applet and the Q Extras library it depends on. Sticky Notes is a Qt applet supporting multiple instances
