I have no problems with Transmission v1.76. I've been using it for ages with no problems. Yes, it leaves the phone a little bit unresponsive when it starts downloading a torrent but thats because it writes the whole file to the disk as soon as a download starts. Just need to be a bit patient, let it write the file and then the phone goes back to normal.

Don't want to start a new thread. I just build aria2c for my N950. I can share a binary if needed. But it's not very comfortable to use terminal each time, especially it doesn't support pasting...

Are you connecting to any trackers? Are there any peers when using another program/box?
Transmision for N900 is quite an old build and doesn't support udp trackers to which most trackers moved to in the meantime. Latest version does support it, but porting it isn't an easy task. Try rtorrent, maybe it will work (console only, available on devel)

Frostwire also works, crashes every now and then (using Java 7), but it let the phone to be a little responsive, while Transmission usually caused reboots on my device and it didn't accepted my uSD to download files there...

I tried almost everything I could with Transmission here and it keeps hanging and leaving the phone unresponsive and torrents half-way.
Is it Transmission or QTRapids? I'll have to search on this later then...
