I got my N9 3 months ago and it came with PR1.0, Austria, 059J200.
Then I did a software update to PR1.1 but there was a call bug and I flashed it with PR1.1.1 (UAE):

It was a good update, no call bug and I was happy with it.
But now, when I saw PR1.2, I knew that I have a to wait a lot of time to get to it.

I used to have Symbian Phones (N8, E7...) and I always did software downgrade, but only with one software version. If I had f.e. Belle and I wanted to go back to Anna, I was able to downgrade flashing it with Scandinavia 11.005, and then I was able to flash it with Anna.

Since yesterday I checked for update but nothing. Then today I realised to try to downgrade with what I call a base software version of N9. I found Central Europe Black 16 GB 30.2012 - 001 version which I think has that **** inside than can allow me to do a downgrade, and I think that's is the only one that can allow us to do a software downgrade.

I flashed with it and now my phone says I have PR1.2 30.2012...001.

This is how I did it:

Enjoy!

Do you see the last 3 numbers there? 335...
Going from Legacy 335 to Legacy 001 is a downgrade.

Going from Legacy 335 to Legacy 001 is a downgrade.
But from 1.1.1 335, to 1.2 001 IS an Upgrade.

On N9 the flasher will check complete string, and if it detects a bigger number then it will give you an error - downgrade disallowed.

@ENNINE: You may want to remove your IMEI from the snapshot. Cheers!

If the first part of the string is greater, the second part is ignored and flashing is allowed.
That's the way it works.
Upgrade.
Case closed.
