I thought we could have a tips thread on migrating fron the n900 to the n9. As in the best way to transfer contacts, settings, SMS-messages and just about anything...

(I'm just starting out so I have nothing to share yet.)

Quick update: Nokia Ovi Suite can't read the contacts on the phone. "Please re-attach the USB cable..."

Error code -2146435037

And the computer I am using does not have Bluetooth...

Another error code is 8393f00b

Now trying to establish a connection using Bluetooth between my n900 and the n9. The n9 won't see the n900. My 2 Linux computers see it just fine!

The only BT device my n9 picks up is my neighbours phone from the apartment above - through a wall! The n900 is just a few cm away...

The n900 does see the n9, though....

So I am exporting my contacts as vcards on the n900, but I can't see an option to import vcards on the n9.

Now I am starting to get a bit... angry!

Which lead me to this Wiki page. Contacts transfer complete! Many thanks.

As for messages, I don't have the time to dabble with SQL right now.
