Hi,

I'm trying to redirect my default gateway of the phone via my openvpn server. But it's not working I always get:

NOTE: unable to redirect default gateway -- Cannot read current default gateway from system

Has anybody yet tried to configure a different gw via Openvpn?

Thank's for your help.

redirect-gateway should work when you're on wlan, but on cellular connection it doesn't work.

Issue is summarized pretty good in this thread:
http://openvpn.net/archive/openvpn-u.../msg00028.html

There is no default gateway address which openvpn would need. It's
possible to hack around it but there isn't really a good solution.

Hm.
So there is no "real" workaround just selfmade scripts. Will there be a solution in the future?

No answers yet, so OpenVPN don't work with cellular(3G) connection at all ?

redirect-gateway option doesn't work. OpenVPN works otherwise.

sorry but the link in post #2 is all that I can say. I haven't tried the workarounds there myself.

bump.

I would love to have a proper solution myself. could a generic (wlan & 3g) working solution be included in the openvpn package? either build-in or via a sort of before/after connection script ?
thanks,
Geert
