I was trying to copy a video over, and it was just really slow under 1mb/s is this normal?

What OS are you using on your computer?

Windows likes to run your 2.0+ USB at 1.0 speeds often times. Usually just installing the newest drivers will help that.

Or is there a possibility that you only have USB 1.0?

were you trying to copy to phone memory or micro sd card?
if you useing sd card and it is slow that is what you going to get
class 6 gives me around 8MB/s
some fake hardly makes 800KB/s

i'm on win7 x64 as well so it isn't win7 problem

Copying to memory, but other devices work fine through that port.

I had a similar issue the other day with a Vista machine and found that the desktop in question was merrily virus scanning my N900 in the background. Once it had finished that things perked up quite a bit. Could that be something similar here?

Data transfer is really slow if you have two or more operations running simultaneously. A virus scan is likely cause if you're not manually xfering multiple files simultaneously.

Why is it that if you try and copy 2 things simultaneously the transfer rate drops to a ridiculously low rate?

(If you are doing 1 copy job I get around 13mb/s average)
