Wow, and here I was thinking it was because my feeds were weird. Time for an entry at the bug tracker. Will somebody please do it?

In the meanwhile, there are two other apps, Feedingit and Colors that may be better RSS readers. I'm gonna try them both.

seriously... We do not need to refresh like this case.

strace for a while, no clue for now. Weird.
I've tried rebooting and it does not solve the problem.
I also confirm that updating the feeds is very slow.

okay, I will explain the detail of my case.

reboot
if [[ auto_update == 1 ]]; then
return "feeds up to date for JUST one time“;
elif [[ auto_update == 1 ]]; then
do you manual_update and then
set auto_update=1
return "back to normal"
fi

cheers. this should definitely be some kind of bug, may be related to time. like the 2000 bug. Just a guess.

I can see this behaviour on my N9 for a few days too.

I have no idea what could trigger this.

I checked with ps -ef | grep rss and then killed the running process. After that I was able to update the feeds manually.

Could someone experiencing the RSS update problem try killing the process as described in my earlier post and confirm wheter it helps.

To me it seems to be working fine or then the problem solved itself.

The kill helped, at least temporarily.
