I've contacted Dataviz to ask if Roadsync will be released for the N900 anytime soon. This is the response that I got:

"We do not have immediate plans to release RoadSync for the Maemo platform but the more feedback we get requesting it, the more likely it is. I'll pass your feedback along to our development team and we'll let you know if something becomes available"

Seems like we will have to start a petition.

Here it is: http://www.petitiononline.com/roadsync/

Is RoadSync really needed on the N900?
The N900 already supports ActiveSync 2007 (I also believe 2003 is supported with the PR1.1 update).

I used Roadsync on an earlier handset and I believe the N900 supports most of RoadSync's abilities

At this time, MfE has serious compatability errors with 2003 based mailservers. Like Kerio Mailserver.

Roadsync at list has a very decent way to work, meaning it really worked on all my symbians. We have mfe but, as always, u cannot compare it to dataviz solution. I'd vote for roadsync

Just curious...will RoadSync sync directly to an Outlook client?

I've been harrassing dataviz for a maemo version of Roadsync since august! I've been using it for over a year and it is way better than mfe imo. I vote for it too!!!

No idea about that, it uses activesync to synchronize.

FYI :

"Dear Vincent,

Thank you for your inquiry and spreading the good word about RoadSync! I wish I had better news to deliver, but we do not currently intend to develop a version for Maemo. However we never say never, so please feel free to submit your feedback to our customer feedback database which our developers pull from to develop support and features for future product versions. You will have a choice to be notified in the future if support is added (unfortunately it is against privacy laws for us to submit and make this selection for you).

http://www.dataviz.com/eforms/feedba...back_form.html

I cannot guarantee you if and when support will be added, but this is the location where such feedback is examined and then it is determined whether or not it is possible to implement. Also, the more feedback we receive, the better chance that support and features will be updated!

I hope that this helps you.

Regards,

Eric"
