I have 4.2007.50-6 installed on intflash w 64 M swap file.
These are installed and with their working conditions. If not mentioned, it is the latest version, chinook copy. In general, if the app does not involve heavy use of audio/video, app for 2008/n8x0 should be used. Otherwise, you would have to specifically looking for app written/support with 2008he/770, like mplayer.

Enjoy,

Edit:
Apps that run really really well on the 770/2008He, makes your 770 flying:
Maemo Mapper
Garnet VM beta II ( 1.0.1 beta) - see absolutely NO difference between 770 and N8x0! Go get it!

chinook and 770:
It came with all the goodies of chinook. Shared folders/media, BT, xterm. Maemo Mapper installs/runs right out of the box is a big winner. Problems: Next to nothing audio is a big problem. Video streaming is also problematics. mplayer .27 works well in rendering video clips, but streaming remains unsatisfactory.

Canola 2 also works, but has tricky install and you need to change osso_software_version to get it to play videos.

You can try to experiment with mplayer '-cache' option and install a faster wlan driver: http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...6&postcount=19

I am working on something really fundamental. Trying to do a input.conf and .mplayer/config.

I tried to edit /etc/mplayer/mplayer.conf or /home/user/.mplayer/config for audio delay. I would like to set it to 0. I used the code

audio_delay=0

The default keeps showing up. Suggestions?
I also like to be able to set the width of the screen.
Finally, can Serge point to me where can I learn some coding for the input.conf and mplayer.conf for the tablet. Thanks.

Some screenshots taken with N800 on 700/2007He running GVM beta II. Either 2008He or 2007He runs GVM, however, 2008He is much faster and much much more stable whereas 2007He has a crash every now and then.

Digital pics are here, http://www.internettablettalk.com/fo...t=20558&page=2, they are running on N800 though. And there are also info on Nokiapalm apps

Enjoy,

On emelFM2, 1st time installed, no error message, but nothing showed up. I installed the 2nd time, it installed and worked without a glitch.

So I've just installed the rtcomm beta in 2008HE and it works (kinda)! I can add MSN, Yahoo etc accounts into the default chat program, and have successfully logged in with my MSN account. Only problem is that it doesn't pull in any of my contacts. Only contacts I can see are people who initiate chat with me or who I manually add. Anyone else tried this?
