Hello,
Does anyone know about a way to quickly compress pictures taken with the N900 to a size than will easily fit an MMS for instance 640x480?
Thanks Ben

You can resize/cut the images using the built-in photo application.

Good luck

How do you do that in fMMS? I didn't find anything like it.
Do you need to start camera from inside fMMS for this?

Thank you, it works well, didn't know that!
Resizing to 25% gives me 644x484 pixels at 77KB, which should be perfect for MMS.
And here I was, thinking you had to use a separate app for this (which would have been a bit lame).

The standard view in the Gallery has icons for rotating, cutting, tagging, sharing and deleting. You get the resizing option only if you call edit mode from the menu.
Also I thought that the "resize" option in editing mode actually means cutting it, which isn't what I want.

open fmms, click top bar, settings, resize to:
options are small,medium,large,original.

doesn't permanently change file, just resizes a copy for sending.

its usually quicker to open fmms to add pic to message than going to gallery and using share via service menu.
