For my self I found a better way to edit text files is via Filetug app -> pull down -> edit as text.

I've been using emacs (emacs-nox-24.1-5.5.1.armv7hl) since I got my Jolla.

Ok, if we go for hc editors, then ed and vi are included in standard sailfish package, but I prefer nano/joe. Still, mcedit is cool and handy when you do a bit more than just single file manipulation. Did anyone manage to get any other terminal to work on Jolla? MC glitches make it almost unusable (the only workaround I know is flip it sideways and back again, after it refresh suddenly works until you scroll some more). Pretty sure fingerterm is the culprit as through ssh everything works perfectly. Anyone? Pls? (sorry for kinda OT)
