openmode users need to install with AEGIS_FIXED_ORIGIN=com.nokia.maemo dpkg -i packagename.deb not just download and install 
or you can add information about debinstaller, it will work for all kernels.
also aegis-apt-get install swapmanagement*

I uninstalled the old version, and installed the new version with debinstaller (trusted, dpkg -i). No errors, but also no change in Drop Cache (which by the post above I see should show SWAP changes), and still only stock configuration with
.
I can only assume something has gone wrong. Any thoughts?

I am using the N9 without swap (/sbin/swapoff /dev/ramzswap0 in profilematic default rule) and have freed the RAM from the stock swapspace configuration. It works since months fine.

if you already enabled this 925MB swap then 925MB is alerady allocated to swap file, and 500MB free after this operation
if you have 500MB free and want to activate 925MB swap you wont be able to do it.
