Hello everyone. 2 questions.

1 - I have a problem sourcing good quality LCD screens and touchscreens. Mine have pressure points (white spots) and are fading I guess from use..

Does anyone have reliable sources? Quality, reasonably priced and with cheap shipping worldwide.

2 - Also having problems with finding a good quality lightweight bluetooth keyboard, I bought one of the plastic mock apple ones on aliexpress for $US15. Didn't work with my N900. Same with the verbatim folding keyboard. Is this a problem with the older Bluetooth version on the N900. I used to own a Stowaway igo folding keyboard but when that died I've had no luck finding a replacement. So looking for a good quality (scissor action) folding (or non-folding but lightweight) keyboard

fleabay for a ton of stowaways of various type IR/ BT/ Wireless ...good prices too. I got turned onto stowaways a few years back from how good community members referred it. Still use my fleabay stowaway.

Wut? N900's bluetooth is 2.1+ and everything should work with it out of the box. I don't believe that those keyboards are super-low-power bluetooth 4.0 *only*. What exactly wasn't working? Pairing, keyboard layout?

This should properly be two threads. Sorry.

Regarding the screens, all are not made alike. The difference between a bad fake and a good fake is huge. For instance a remanufactured N900 will have a fake touchscreen. The difference in quality of the two remanufactured touchscreens is obvious. The later touchscreen on my two remanufactured (made in Finland ) is much better. You will also see if looking around here that some touchscreen suppliers supply different types and not at all consistent.

So, looking for reliable LCD suppliers and reliable touchscreen suppliers.

Regarding the bluetooth keyboards. It happened with two different keyboards with two separate N900s. And I checked both keyboards work with other devices as keyboards.
The verbatim keyboard will pair but once connected, the BT icon goes permanently blue (which didn't happen with my stowaway) and the keys don't work.
Trying BT-HID-scripts now as I've been using extkbd up until now. Still no luck.

Strange, very strange. The icon *should* be blue, as it mean paired device connected. You mean that the other one works without bluetooth icon turning blue?

I can't say for all the "inventions" meant to work with ipads or whatsnot. I have never seen a keyboard, mouse, or keyboard+mouse pair that works over bluetooth and isn't working with N900 from start/can't be made to work, using extkbd and extmou. But maybe there using some twisted BT standard for apple nonsense, just like with audio-video cables and switched ground (just analogy, not technically at the same level)...

With my stowaway, the icon goes blue and then back to normal after pairing or when not typing. On these two keyboards, they go blue after pairing and stay blue until disconnected. Using the extkbd application I cannot chose the keyboard in the "keyboard" part. And therefore cannot use it. Paired but not recognised as it were.
