I'm just starting to learn C++ and migrating from Python Qt
There were a couple threads that described the process but I might create a guide on how to do it. (more or less document my journeys developing on the n900)

it is great but sometimes you can compile stuff wich do not compile in the auto builder wich is annoying. Without this program I would not program for this awesome device!

I think this is going to be pretty big.

so easy to install and use, don't have to sign up or pay for anything and it runs on windows and linux.

potential installed base of devices with qt support will be pretty large too.

Definitely good

This seems to be perfect to someone who want to learn this stuff from scratch!. I was sick of messing around with MADDE to be able to create some "Hello World" app for N900.

What should i do to add a desktop icon to my app using Nokia Qt SDK?
I found Qt Creator builds the .deb for me, but when I install it on my n900 using Xterminal, i kind of have to struggle to find the binary to run the application. Which are the right steps?

The debian packaging in NQS doesn't currently provide a 'full' debian package. You may either want to provide a real debian/ directory in pour project, or try the installing the "remote compiler" service that should provide a halfway proper package for you.
