I have an 8GB SDHC Class 4 card (Also have a Class 2, with same results) in my Nokia N800, running the most recent version of Chinook (same problems in Diablo) and wondering if anybody else has run into the same problem I have.

It also happens on a 4GB non-SDHC card.

I have over 3GB of music (About 7 to be exact, but it seems to start at around 2GB) and the built-in Mediaplayer seems to harf on indexing the files. It reads really, really slowly, and acts almost as if it's connecting over a slow serial link and eats up a lot of CPU when it does it. When I use Canola, it works, but card access is still slow, but at least I can get access to all my music. Has anybody else run into this problem? Is there a limitation to how many music files the N800 can access?

Try running a file system check.

Not sure how to do this. In any event, it happened after putting the files on the card right off the bat. Could it be because the card is formatted to Fat32?
