I always liked the fact that Nokia supports offline Maps. Unlike iPhones that some mobile operators obviously favor because it's really pushing on the online google maps to pretty much force you to get a data connection. In fact in Japan where N9 is not sold, AFAIK it's impossible to buy an iPhone without a data connection.
I've been enjoying the offline maps in China but next I need a map solution for South Korea and Japan.
I would like to sum up the total of alternative map solutions for the Harmattan.
Has some offline maps, never got them to work and also very limited coverage.
Any other solutions out there?
Looks like I just need to get a data connection somehow. But that ranges from tricky to impossible in the above mentioned countries if you are a temporary visitor and not holding residence permit.
