just had a thought.. like me most of our users are BATMAN i.e. access talk.maemo.org till 12:30 to 1:00 AM or even more..

within day time its fine..
but at late-night(or some eye problem).. the Layout may feel too bright..

IMHO, i would like to request Community about a Night-Mode option for Talk.Maemo.Org

something like this

Talk.Maemo.Org [Night-Mode]

Talk.Maemo.Org [Normal-Mode]

On Clicking Light-Bulb in the images will enable/disable Night-Mode
(its just a sample design you might be having better ideas then that )

P.s.
@Respected Moderators..
please feel free to delete this thread

if it is a Re-Post(i didn't found any )
if you find it useless
or this feature already exists with Talk.Maemo.Org (although i wasn't able to find it)

SOLUTION

SOLVED (for FIREFOX)

it looks like this

all you need to do is

1) Options>>Contents>>

2) in Font & Color's Section, press "Colours" Button

3) select Background Colour to black(or dark whatever you like)

4) Text color as White(or Light)

5) UNCHECK "allow pages to choose there own colours"

6) you can also change the visited/unvisited Pages colors to your like

7) Press Ok... and YOU GOT NIGHT-MODE in FIREFOX

TO TURN-OFF NIGHT-MODE JUST CHECK AGAIN IN #5

Cheers

SOLVED permanent (for OPERA)

Ok.. Permanent(i.e. no addon) way to get Night Mode for TMO as well as other's on OPERA desktop browser(No Addon's required)

go to..

menu(opera)>>page>>style>>(check)High Contrast (W/B)

this is what you get

just "uncheck" High Contrast (W/B)
when you want to Exit "Night-Mode"

Note - there's difference between Addon's result and This one(if you look closely)

i know it sounds like nothing.. but its really helpful for Late-Night TMO'ing

P.s.

but i still wish, this!!

was possible..

GODbless

This could be achieved by using Stylish and this user style. http://userstyles.org/styles/17769/t...sic-dark-theme

There is a dark theme, see drop down at the bottom left...

I also like the "Active Topics" on the right and thus would prefer a dark version of default TMO.
But at least there is "New Posts" and "Quick Links->Today's Posts" in classic dark top bar menu...
I usually have one of this open in one tab, unfortunately F5/Refresh doesn´t work for these...

SOLVED(almost) Via Addon (for OPERA)
although its not perfect.. but works

here is how it looks

you need to add this Extension to opera
https://addons.opera.com/en/extensio...ls/night-mode/

the addon adds a tiny button on upper right(next to search) to quick switch night mode)

but, if you reload or open another tab its again Normal Mode

Note - there's difference in appearance between Addon's result and permanent one(if you look closely)
